Before Sunup
Bags are split into buckets before sunrise. Food goes down in spread-out piles. Water goes next to every pile, every time.
Field Manual No. 11
Feeding starving street dogs in Mexico, one bucket at a time.
Inside the Manual
Our Dog Now is a printable Action Army field manual built around a simple daily mission: a bucket of food and water at the same time, same street, every morning. It begins with the reality that a street dog is not wild and not mean; she was somebody's dog once.
Starvation is a clock. Fat, then muscle, then speed, then the fight against sickness. The manual explains the feeding line, the daily route, and the practical steps that keep the work steady and humane.
The mission is not a shelter, not a gala, and not a fundraiser. It is a bucket. Every morning. Same street. Feed carefully, keep distance, and never reach for a scared dog.
The feeding line
Bags are split into buckets before sunrise. Food goes down in spread-out piles. Water goes next to every pile, every time.
Old and hurt dogs are fed first, off to the side. Shy dogs get a pile left at the last stop so they are not forced into a frightened close encounter.
Never reach for a scared dog. Kneel back and wait. The feeding line keeps dogs safe and the work repeatable.
A field mission you can use
Put it to work
This manual keeps the mission plain: one thing, tonight, fill the bucket. It gives a direct list of phones, web links, and donation options, with a simple call to action for supporters who want to feed dogs in Mexico every day.
Before you decide whether the ask is for you, read the Honest Page. This guide is clear about what it is not: not a shelter, not a gala, not a tax-deductible nonprofit. The ask is food for street dogs in Mexico, and the work continues one day at a time.
The pamphlet also makes plain that the dogs on the page are composites drawn from pattern, and the nicknames are illustrative. The goal is to keep the mission honest, practical, and consistent.
